Operation Theater Technicians are the pivot of the surgical care given in a hospital. They are required to receive a patient in a theater, provide assistance to the surgeon during surgery and maintain surgical instruments and theater equipments. He/she is responsible for patient safety. The trainees will be trained in well appointed hospital theaters in the hospitals. This training shall enable them to work in the hospitals in government and private sector anywhere.

• Eligibililty: 10+2 Examination with Medical subjects i.e; Physics, Chemistry and Biology Age upto 35 years as on 1st January of the year of admission.
• Syllabus: The syllabus of Jammu and Kashmir State Paramedical Council will be taught and followed strictly.
• Duration: The course is of 24 months duration. The Jammu and Kashmir State Paramedical Council will conduct two annual examinations and award a diploma on successful completion of the course.
