Female Multipurpose Health Workers

In order to provide Primary Health Care at a Sub-centre level in a village, the need for a Multipurpose Health Worker was felt by the planners and health administrators. A Training course, as such, was devised which is reality based and field oriented aimed at preparing a Health Worker with demonstrated ability to plan carry out job responsibilities assigned to her under the 'Multipurpose Health Workers Scheme'. This training course prepares trainees to deliver multifaceted functions at sub-centre level and be a competent nurse in a hospital situation. Their importance in National Health Mission is acknowledged and has created a vast opportunity of jobs.

Course Duration & Eligibility

  • Eligibililty: Those who have passed their Matriculation Examination; are unmarried; Age upto 35 years as on 1st January of the year of admission.
  • Syllabus: The syllabus of Jammu and Kashmir State Paramedical Council will be taught and followed strictly.
  • Duration: The duration of the course is 18 months. It will have two examinations conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir State Paramedical Council. The Institute will assess its trainees through regular evaluation during the period of course.
